HeSc was founded in 2000 upon the initiative of the two private technical offices Hedorfer and Schiuma which are devoted, the first, to town planning and GIS, and the latter to architecture.
From the beginning the purpose was to build a permanent but informal association between professionals that would be able to offer a widespread range of services and products that are presented on the Service page of this web site.
HeSc has been structured, on one hand, as a traditional professionals’ office that employs technical and scientific collaborators envolved occasionally for single projects.
On the other hand — and under taking advantage of the potentialities offered by the Internet — it is however also conceived as an element of a set of networked companies and other professionals that manage together those kinds of projects and research activities where energies and competences are required that can hardly be brought up by a single office.

Markus M. Hedorfer,
42 years old,
graduated at Venice in Urban and Regional Planning,
works as a professional since 1997 (since 2005 on the planners register), and
is a co-founder of HeSc.
He is specialised in GIS for town planning and in a particular manner in the use of GISs
during preliminary inquiries, electronical trans-codings, and plan management.
In addition to his professional activity,
he teaches and participates to research projects at the IUAV University.
Donatella Schiuma,
40 years old,
graduated at Venice in Architecture,
works as a professional (with membership of the chamber of architects) since 1999, and
is a co-founder of HeSc.
She practises mainly urban and architectural design activities
with particular experience
in the hotel, school, and entertainment building industry, as well as,
more recently, in master planning and airport development planning.
Within the sector of GIS she mainly deals with meta-information.
Una Kušan,
29 years old,
graduated at Venice in Urban, Regional and Environmental Planning
and co-operates occasionally with HeSc since 2002.
She is specialised in treating remotely sensed imagery and,
more in particular, in developing morphological filters.
She contributed also in a significant manner to the Veneto Regional Turism Information System (SIRT) and
is now attending the doctorate in Geomatics and GIS at the University of Trieste (Italy).
Antonio De Mitri,
30 years old,
graduated at Venice in Urban and Regional Planning Science
and at Uppsala (Sweden) in Landscape Planning (MSc).
He works as a professional since 2006, and since the second half of 2005
he co-operates regularily with HeSc.
Currently he is dealing with the structure plan of Noventa Padovana and,
jointly with CORILA, IUAV and HeSc, with the Italian localisation of REC,
a brownfield clean-up scenario evaluation system.
